The ophthalmic sector is a fascinating and complex world, conducting research that allows us to develop ever more performing products and accessories, able to satisfy every customisation request based on a user’s individual characteristics.

There are many different types of lenses, the most popular are briefly described below.

Monofocal lenses

Monofocal lenses are ideal for rediscovering the pleasure of clearly seeing both distant and up-close objects. They are the perfect solution for myopia and hyperopia as they are adapted to the wearer and are optimized to ensure great vision, even around the peripheral areas of the lens. Perfect as a first pair of glasses, for children and as everyday glasses. Even with their increased capability, these lenses are thin, light and aesthetically pleasing.

Progressive lenses

Progressive or multifocal lenses are optical masterpieces that allow for relaxed distant and up-close vision through the so-called progression corridor or transition zone. However, they are not all the same. Progressive lenses must meet your needs, your lifestyle, be within your budget and above all guarantee natural and comfortable vision. Here, more than ever, our opticians advice is essential for choosing the right lense.

Office lenses

Office lenses are depth-of-field lenses that help your vision in enclosed spaces, allowing for a clear reading of documents, the keyboard, the monitor, desk and surrounding spaces, ensuring you maintain a comfortable posture. They help to lighten the weight of the working day, allowing you to concentrate without straining your eyes.

Sun lenses

Sun lenses are commonly referred to as sun filters. They protect the eyes from UVA and UVB rays and glare. With single or blended colors, they can be chosen with different percentages of protection based on individual sensitivity and use.

Graduated lenses

Graduated sun lenses are aimed at those who wish to correct their ametropia (hypermetropia, myopia and astigmatism) or presbyopia without giving up the comfort of a standard sunglasses.

Polarized lenses

Polarized lenses are suitable for protecting the eyes from UVA and UVB rays (harmful for our health) and neutralizing reflections and glare, only allowing the light necessary for visual comfort to pass through. The result is sharp and contrasting but above all, safe vision!

IRON Super hydrophobic anti-reflective treatment.

With its 16 layers the lens becomes extremely resistant and durable, as strong as iron! A latest-generation treatment that gives lenses an exceptional performance in terms of transparency, cleanability and resistance.

BLUE BLOCK

A brand new treatment against the blue light from the sun but also from the artificial light emitted by computers, tablets, etc. The glare effect is significantly reduced thanks to these filters, allowing for a reduction in eye fatigue and an improvement in contrast.

UV Tech

Ultraviolet (UV) rays are always present, both in winter and in summer, on sunny days and cloudy ones, and we often forget how harmful they are to long-term eye health. UV Tech lenses are designed to minimize the effects of ultraviolet radiation and visible high-energy light emitted in blue wavelengths. They block 100% of UVC and UVB rays and 99% of UVA rays, reducing the harmful effects of blue light by 55%.
